When Is a Site Specific OH&S Management Plan Required?
A Plan is required if your building work is over a value of $250,000 or is demolition work or asbestos removal or "high risk" building work as defined below.
Special workplace arrangements for construction work
This makes special arrangements for workplaces that are construction sites where the cost of the work exceeds $250,000 or the work is demolition work, asbestos removal work or high risk construction work. This is required for principal contractors and sub-contractors. However, this also applies to contractors that are also employers or self-employed persons.

for construction projects valued at over $250,000.
2 Employers and self-employed people to prepare
safe work method statements for high-risk construction work.
3 Employees to be given OHS induction training before undertaking construction work, and to be trained on
site-specific risks and control measures before starting work
on a construction site.
